Egypt’s agricultural sector had a flourish in 2019, after its export of agriculture products exceeded five million tons from January 1, 2019, to December 18, 2019.
This is according to Ahmed Al-Attar, head of the Central Administration of Agricultural.
According to statement issued by Egypt’s ministry of agriculture released a statement where they indicated that the exports exceeded about 5 million tons amongst which are citrus, potatoes, onions, grapes, pomegranate, garlic, mangoes, Strawberry, beans, guava, cucumber, pepper, eggplant etc.
On November, the Ministry of Agriculture announced that the volume of Egyptian agricultural exports increased to more than 4.8 million tons during the period from 1 January to 6 November this year.
This improved agricultural exports serves as extra income for Egypt’s economy whose main source of revenue is tourism.
