Mantrac launches energy system to complement grid in Ghana

Energy Company, Mantrac, has launched the Mantrac Energy System in Accra, Ghana to supply energy which will complement the national grid.

Managing Director for Mantrac, Steven Scott While Speaking at the Mantrac Energy Solutions Summit where the energy system was introduced, said that the company is fully committed to supplying renewable energy that will enable industries to work efficiently.

“This solution is targeted at the domestic market, banking, telecommunication, manufacturing houses, rural electrification, mining, oil and gas and other industrial establishments,” he said.

According to him, Mantrac is aimed at providing 360 degrees solution with the energy system as they do for mining and construction equipment.

“We have put in place high parts availability coupled with prompt and professional after sales support as part of our overall commitment to customers,” he added.

Mantrac is at the forefront of energy transition in Ghana. It is integrating renewable power with smart energy storage and conventional diesel or gas fuelled power generation to keep industries, communities and people connected.

Mr Steven stated that this was in line with the Ministry of Energy’s plans of improving renewable energy penetration from less than five to 10 per cent of installed capacity by 2020.

He added that the system is targeted at the domestic market, banking, telecommunications, manufacturing companies, homes etc.

Sandy Madhar the Sales Development Manager Of Mantrac, added that the System has been designed to make power affordable and easily accessible by all social class.

Mr Francois Xavier, the Europe Africa Middle East and CIS Development Manager, indicated that’s it is necessary to harness the power of the sun through solar solutions. He added that this measure will bring a reduction of carbon gas emissions which has negative impact on our planet.

The summit brought together individuals and companies from the energy sector to discuss and share ideas on new technologies to improve upon power supply.
