106,000 Kenya Tutors Begin Training for New Curriculum

106,000 primary school teachers in Kenya will begin training on the new curriculum today ahead of the rollout in Grade Four.

According to the Education Cabinet Secretary, George Magoha, the training will enable the teachers more prepared for the new term.

This brings the number of teachers so far trained since the introduction of the competency-based curriculum(CBC) to 228,000. In April and August 2019, 91,320 and 68,490 teachers respectively were trained to handle grade one to three.

The Ministry Of Education and the Teachers Service Commission are collaborating to ensure this training help in successfully implementing the new curriculum.
