Kuwait To Hold a Fundraising Conference Next Year to Boost Education in Somalia

Kuwait will be holding a fundraising conference to support education in Somalia next year. The exact date for the conference is yet to be announced.

Kuwait’s Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organizations Affairs, Ambassador Nasser Al-Hayen at a ministerial meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on Somalia, affirmed Kuwait’s support to Somalia. He also highlighted Kuwait’s enthusiasm to coordinate and intensify efforts in maintaining security in Somalia.

The ambassador added that Kuwait’s aims to reduce sufferings and maintain stability, peace and security in Somalia.

He praised the progress and achievements made in Somalia at all levels, urging the international community to continue providing political and material support, enabling an environment supportive to the elected Somali government.

Ambassador Al-Hayen stressed his country’s backing to the resolutions supporting Somalia’s security, safety and territorial integrity in all international forums.

Al-Hayen appreciates the international community for the efforts In bringing peace and stability to Somalia. He also showed his satisfaction over achievements and major reforms made in the political, security and economic sectors in Somalia.

He hoped that this progress would continue through strengthened partnership between Somalia and the international community.
