The Russian Government has agreed to support Nigeria’s rail infrastructure development by building a track, 1400km long, from the city of Lagos to the South-South city of Calabar, Nigeria.
According to the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, in a statement in Abuja, this development was one of the agreements reached between President Muhammadu Buhari and the Russian President, Vladimir Putin.
The bilateral meeting was held on sidelines of ongoing Russia-Africa Summit, in Sochi, Russia, on Wednesday. President Buhari was received in Sochi for the Africa- Russia summit by the mayor of Sochi, Anatoli Nikolayevich Pakhomov and State officials.
