While Egypt may get most of his finances from exporting petroleum products, its non petroleum products are making a good amount of money for the country.
According to a report on Friday by the General Organisation for Export and Import Control (GOEIC), Egypt’s non-petroleum exports registered a total of $13.037 billion in the first half of 2019.
Agricultural products were the most exported as it racked in a total of $1.575 billion thus enabling The Agricultural Export Council coming first in exporting Egypt’s non-petroleum products in the first six months of the year compared to $1.446 billion in the same period of 2018.
Export of food items registered a total of $1.559 billion in the first half of 2019, up from $1.469 billion during the same period a year earlier.
According to The report the ready-made garment exports totaled $800 million in H1, compared to $768 million in the same six months in 2018.
The pharmaceutical exports saw a total of $261 million in the same period in 2019, up from $252 million the same period a year earlier.
